Prologue

     Her name is Yuji Rayumi, 17 years old.  She has medium length black hair with red streaks and she is also 5 feet 3 inches tall. She has been alone since her parents passed away a few years back, and have yet to find the true purpose of her life. I amYuji's older brother, Akira Suzuki, more commonly known as Reita from the famous bands The Gazette; have taken care of her for some time that she have come to live with me. My parents adopted Yuji when she was just a little child, and she's lived with us ever since. Yuji felt abandoned, but she doesn't know why, but more importantly... let's begin the story of how her end came to be shall we?

Ch 1

"Oi! Yuji! Get down here would you?" Kai yelled up the stairs a little impatient.


"I'm coming, give me a minute Kai!" she yelled from my room well applying the last of her visual Kei make up.


     Yuji picked up her bag, and went down the stairs, only to be stopped by Aoi, who has come to be like another older brother to her. She looked up at him, a soft blush on her cheeks, and smiled softly up at him.


"Yes Aoi?" Yuji asked politely.


"Come on kiddo" he said picking her up on his back, making her blush a little more, this was always how her day started since this band started, but she did not mind at all.


"Oi! What are you doing Aoi? I'm wearing a skirt!" her fists pounded on his back lightly, she didn't mind, but Uruha was locking up her skirt.


     Uruha smirked, following behind Aoi, and watched her, his eyes never leaving her face. His expression scared her; his light brown hair had soft dips around his face. To Yuji, he was a very mysterious man, one that loved to tease people, and then leave them asking for more. His red eyes glistened in the light of the sun when we got out side.


     One thing she forgot to mention was that she live in a home full of crazed vampire's, and when they had a chance, they sometimes tried making her their pray for fun. Ruki, and Uruha have tried changing her, but her brother Reita always stopped them which was no fun at all.


"Uruha... You're scaring me..." she finally said to him.


      Uruha smirked, and walked up to Yuji, his hand lightly touching her cheek, and kissed her head, an evil look in his eyes.

"You don't know fear yet Yuji... wait tell I get my fangs in you," he said with a smirk.


      Yuji gasped, and tried to get off Aoi's shoulder, and when he finally put her down she ran right to her brother. She hid behind Reita who was now protecting her from his hungry friend; a hiss came deep from his throat well he glared at Uruha.


"Back off Uruha," Reita said fiercely.


Uruha sighed and shook his head "Calm down man... I'm not going to hurt her."


      Yuji got in the car, sitting beside Reita and Aoi who were ready to jump Uruha and Ruki who were ready to jump Yuji and drain her of the blood that she had in her body. She laid her head on her brother's shoulder and closed her eyes, drifting back into a soft slumber.


Ch 2


      Yuji awoke to the sound of people screaming, and things being thrown which made her sit up to find out what was going on. When her eyes adjusted, she found that her brothers van had been hit, and was now lying on its side. Her Brother and his friends were nowhere to be seen, and then she noticed this tall, handsome man walking towards them with black wings attached to his back. She looked at him with amazement, but then her fear came back when she felt something making her shirt wet, so she looked down and saw that there was a big chunk of glass sticking in her side.


     When the tall man got to the van, he opened the door that was already semi open, and reached his hand in. His beating mysterious eyes watched her, waiting for her to take his hand, and when she didn't it made him become frustrated.



"Take my hand if you want to live human" he said while his hand was still outstretched to her.


     Yuji looked at the hand, then the man who it was attached to, she didn't know what she should do so she grabbed his hand after unbuckling. She winced when he pulled her through the door, and gasped when he held her in his arms. The arms around her were just inched away from her wound so it was hard for her to hold back her whimpers.


"W-Where are my family? What happened here? Who are you?" she asked a mile a minute, just needing some answers.


     Instead of him answering her questions, he rolled his eyes and let his black wings stretch out, and took off into the air with her in his arms. He looked at her when she clung to him, a smirk coming to his face and said "Hang on kid; I don't need another death on my hands."


     The fallen angel landed a little ways from where everyone who survived the accident, and started walking towards where they were. He didn't say anything else to Yuji who looked up at him with so much curiosity.


     When Reita saw his sister in the arms of a stranger, his normal instincts kicked in and went over and grabbed her from him. While glaring at his enemy, he walked back over to his family, the whole time not even noticing his sister watching the male who then walked off and vanished.


"Are you ok Yuji?" Reita asked his younger sister in fear when he noticed she was injured.


"No... My side... Some glass got in it... I think that man pulled it out without me noticing... It hurts..." she said weakly.


     Reita gasped, looking around for a medic, who was nowhere in his line of vision, which scared him even more. He started running around with his sister in his arm frantically, searching for some medical help for her. Since she was not a vampire like he was, she couldn't heal like his family and himself could.


     He was so scared for her, when he finally found someone his fears started vanishing, that was until he caught a smell he wish he never did.


     The medic looked at Reita in disgust, but then noticed he was holding a human girl in his arms and gasped. He pushed his long blond hair out of his face and got up and took her from him and ran to a bed that was nearby in a tent.


"What happened? Where did you get this nasty cut from miss?" the medic asked worriedly.


"Some glass I guess... I don't know I was asleep the whole time" Yuji said weakly.


     She was then rushed to a helicopter that was waiting for anyone who needed immediate transportation to the nearby hospital in the next town over. She gasped when she was put in, calling frantically for her brother, but they wouldn't let him in with her. She was terrified without him now, but then she noticed someone familiar in the front seat.


Ch 3


     The Fallen Angel that she had met earlier sat up in the front with the pilot, telling him where he should go. When he noticed Yuji, he got up and walked back, and sat beside her bed, and smiled in a comforting way.


"Don't be scared... I'm here to help you if anything goes wrong... You don't need to look to that disgusting vampire for help," said while he held her hand gently.


     Yuji made him let go of her hand, and got up, wincing, trying to get to her brother even if the pain was causing her to become dizzy. When she started to fall, he caught her and sighed, carrying her back to the bed.


"Please miss... don't overdo yourself for them... they are not worth it. My name is Ravyn Kozuka... please, be calm..." Ravyn said calmly.


     Yuji was crying, she looked away when she was strapped to the bed, just wanting her brother by her side. She gasped when she felt a needle in her arm, injecting liquid that she had no clue of what it could be. When she started feeling dizzy, she looked at Ravyn who was now caressing her hair calmly.  


"Don't make me sle-..." she didn't get to finish her sentence, for she was now asleep.


       At the hospital that Yuji was air lifted too, the nurses got her to the emergency room, calling for a doctor to get there immediately. Nurse Keira stood at the doors, waiting for a doctor, and also her niece who she has not seen since she was born seventeen years earlier.


"Please be alright Yuji" she said softly.


       Ravyn ran with the bed that held a girl who now seemed interesting to him, who he now wanted to protect with his life. He has never felt this way since the day he met Ayumi Kisaki about three years back. She was a demon that he had fallen in love with, who had tricked him into falling from heaven to be with her. When he fell, she set an ambush out to kill him, but they never found him.


"Until the day I die Yuji... I will protect you with all my heart..." he said in a calm yet serious voice.


       As if she could hear his words, her fingers wrapped around his hand that held hers weakly.  Her body still stayed limp, for she couldn't wake until this medication in her system was out.


'Why do I fell happy?' she thought to herself.


Ch 4


Reita was sitting outside of Yuji's room when he noticed that Ruki and Uruha were walking towards her room. He got up and glared at them and held his long arms out as if denying them access to her room. When they stopped in front of him, he had already started to growl deep from within his throat.


"What do you two want?" he said in a questioning tone.


Uruha held the flowers up a little, and smiled in a soft way. He was trying to win over Reita's trust.


"Nothing Reita... Just here to give Yuji some flowers, and no, we won't try to harm her today." said in a tone that sounded caring, but also careful.


Reita looked between Ruki and Uruha, seeing no traces of a lie, so he moved slightly, and opened the door. He wasn't going to allow those two to be so near Yuji without him being close; he knew their plans and wasn't going to allow it to happen. He sat on the bedside and his watchful eyes never stopped looking between both vampires that sat before him.

"What's your problem today Reita? You know we wouldn't hurt her" Ruki said in a soft tone, as if to keep his voice down while Yuji slept.

"My problem is you; I know how you always want to hurt her, so I won't leave you in a room with her alone." Reita said in an angry tone.

Ruki sighed and sat beside Uruha, and watched Yuji sleep which caused many things to start going through his head. Things like how he could kill her and not let her feel a thing for Reita's sake, or how he could also make her a vampire which would make things a lot easier. He gasped when he saw Yuji starting to open her eyes.

Reita looked down and held her hand "Yuji?" he said questioningly.

Yuji woke up in the hospital, her vision blurred and the sounds hard to make out, she hurt all over and she didn't remember why. She looked over to her right, two people were sitting there, staring down at her, and then she looked to her left and saw a familiar person sitting there, holding her hand gently.

"R-Reita..." she said weakly.

Reita moved closer to her and kissed her fingers, which caused him to get a jealous glare from Ruki who thought he was crazy to be near her. He didn't really care, he was just glad that Yuji was waking up finally.

"Hey sis… how do you feel now?" he asked softly.

"S-Sore…" she weakly said.

Reita nodded and pressed the nurse's button and waited for them to arrive and kissed her finger tips. His smile started to come to his face, he missed hearing his sisters soft, sweet voice that only she had.

"R-Reita… w-why are you crying?" she asked.

"Because you are awake… I thought I might loose you" Reita said, finally allowing his tears to fall down his face.

When Ravyn and the nurses came in, Ruki and Uruha had to leave the room so that Yuji could be looked over. He sat on the opposite side if Yuji and grabbed her hand, he wasn't smiling, but he knew that his happiness was showing.

"Hey… feel better?" he said with a low tone.

Yuji nodded, gripping both his and Reita's hand, "Yeah, but where am I?" she asked.

"Your at the hospital and Tokyo… we air lifted you hear with permission of your brother of course…" said in a soft tone.

"Oh…" was all that she could get out.

This hospital was the same hospital that her parents were brought to right before they died and left her all alone, with no one defend her. Soft tears started to pour from her eyes when all the memories of the crash flooded back to her memory.

Reita sighed and kissed his adopted sisters forehead when he noticed the tears, he knew it was hard for her to be here. He got up and covered her, then left the room to go and find the doctor. It was hard for him to see her crying and in so much pain, when he knew that he would be the same way if she died. He knew it would be his fault if she died.

He was a creature that could easily kill her, but he could also save her from harms path that was now coming her way. Before he talked to her, he needed to talk to someone who has been in his position and has saved the human that they tried to save.

"Now... Where would Mao be?" he said to himself in a low tone.

As if the man had heard Reita call his name, he appeared right behind him with a look on his face that would scare most. He looked over at the tall blonde with anger, but understanding the situation caused the anger to reside.

"What can I help you with Reita?" he said with some venom in his tone.

Reita gasped and turned quickly to see his cousin leaning against the hospital wall with his arms crossed. It's been about 32 years since they have seen each other since the incident in Kyoto. Memories of Mao's accident flowed into his mind, and tears started to form as the flash back played in his mind.

*Flash Back*

Reita tried to reach Mao's hand to stop him from falling to his death, but he was too slow, he watched as his cousin fell to the ground with a big thud. Tears started to wail up in his eyes as he saw Mao lay there motionless.

"Mao!" he screamed but got no answer.

Before he could get up, a pair of strong hands threw him into his vehicle and started to brutally beat him with a led pipe. The male constantly said things in a language that Reita couldn't understand, and before he could say something, everything went black.
*Flash Back ends*

Mao sighed angrily when he saw his cousin crying, he hated seeing weakness, but he knew that it couldn't be helped in this situation. He looked away and unfolded his arms and stood up straight.

"Stop crying Reita... It's done and over with... Now what do you need me for?" he asked.

"I need to know how you saved Shinya... because I want to save..." Reita didn't get to finish his sentence because Mao cut him off.

"Reita... I already know... I'll help you" Mao said in a low tone.

Reita showed Mao to Yuji's room, the whole time he wished that he could apologize to Mao, but he knew it was too late to do so. He held his head down and walked into the room, saying nothing to anyone.
